Nigel has been a keen photographer since buying his first film camera back in the 1970’s. Following the mothballing of the Corus Steelworks at Teesside in 2010, he was made redundant from his job as mechanical engineer. This was a pivotal turning point, being too young to retire to the armchair; Nigel decided to make photography his new career.
Nigel went on to set up his business Nigel Lee Photography after leaving Corus. His main focus is landscape photography, especially images where the scenery includes trees and moody cloudscapes. He is equally passionate in photographing striking motorcycles, either in standard trim or fully customised, and juxtaposing them into unusual locations for dramatic effect.
Many of Nigel's photographs have been inspired by the wonderful scenery we have on our doorstep here in the North East of England. His landscapes and images of motorcycles are breath-taking and this is clearly his passion. Like many others in the creative industry he finds ways to support his craft by providing a quality service. His attention to detail and commitment to providing good value are the cornerstone of his business.
Since starting out in early 2010, the business has grown steadily, expanding into a fully integrated photographic enterprise. Nigel Lee Photography are now able to offer a fully bespoke picture framing and Professional Printing Service to customers to compliment his photographic work. Nigel continually strives to be the best and to provide a service that matches his customers’ needs, and budget.
Nigel admits there is no greater compliment than to know his work has pride of place hanging on the wall in someone’s home or office.
